Yuzu Raspberry Rose Sparkling Colada

Mixing up a tropical drink is one of the best ways to greet summer. If you’re a Piña Colada fan, there are many ways to enhance this delicious beverage without having to include alcohol. I recommend going spirit-free and crafting a cannabis-infused colada! But this time, go sparkling with the addition of Gem + Jane Yuzu Raspberry Rose.

Combining coconut, pineapple juice, fresh raspberries, lime juice, and a splash of Gem + Jane, this bubbly and refreshing cannabis colada will excite the senses. With a melody of creamy tropical and raspberry notes followed by a soft essence of yuzu and rose, this enchanting blend awakens the taste buds, providing a tropical vacation for your palate.

Because this drink contains zero alcohol, it has fewer calories than the standard Piña Colada. Uplifting and mildly stimulating, this beverage also contains a low-dose of THCV, Delta-9 THC, and CBD. This unique combination of phytocannabinoids are enhanced by the natural terpenes found in Gem + Jane Yuzu Raspberry Rose (such as limonene and geraniol) for an ultra-pleasurable drinking experience.

Ready to make this refreshing beverage at home? Keep reading for the recipe, and be sure to keep an eye out for more Gem + Jane creations coming to The Herb Somm blog this summer. Enjoy!

Yuzu Raspberry Rose Sparkling Colada

Yield: 1 drink

Target Dose: 2 mg THCV, < 1 mg Delta-9 THC, <1 mg CBD per drink (using ½ can)

Equipment:

Blender

Shaker tin

Muddler

Hawthorn

Fine-mesh strainer

Stemless wine glass

Bar spoon

Ingredients:

2 ounces unsweetened coconut milk

2 tablespoons cream of coconut

2 ounces pineapple juice

¼ cup fresh raspberries

½ ounce fresh-squeezed lime juice

Ice

Gem + Jane Yuzu Raspberry Rose

Pineapple leaf, slice of fresh pineapple, fresh raspberries, and a mini pink rose for garnish

Directions:

Combine the unsweetened coconut milk, cream of coconut, and pineapple juice in the bottom of a blender. Blend on high until the liquid is mixed well. Set aside. Add the raspberries and lime juice in the bottom of a shaker tin. Begin to muddle until the raspberries release their juices. Reblend the coconut pineapple juice on high for 2 seconds, then pour into the shaker tin. Add ice, then shake for 15 seconds or until cold. Fill a stemless wine glass with fresh ice, then strain through a fine-mesh strainer into the glass to remove the solids. Top with a splash of Gem + Jane Yuzu Raspberry Rose, then stir to combine. Garnish with a pineapple leaf, slice of pineapple, raspberries and a mini pink rose. Serve immediately, and enjoy!
