Celebrate the Holidays With This Apple Spice CBD Mule
Festive drinks are a must for the holidays. Instead of serving the typical alcohol imbibe, treat your guests to an Apple Spice CBD Mule. This gorgeous looking recipe will not only keep the party vibes flowing, but it will also prevent your guests from getting a nasty holiday hangover. Combining the delicious flavors of apple cider, ginger beer, and CBD-infused cinnamon cardamom simple syrup, this recipe will be a holiday go-to for seasons to come.
While there are many ways to mix CBD into beverages, I highly recommend creating your own infused simple syrup at home by using CBD-rich flower and honey or agave nectar. This CBD infusion will not only integrate into your beverages seamlessly, but it will also provide a natural alternative to processed sugar, making your holiday drinks a bit more healthy.
For this recipe, I infused Flower Co.’s Ice Dream strain into the cinnamon cardamom CBD simple syrup that measured at a total of 8.6 percent CBD and 7.7 percent THC before decarboxylation. Remember, your numbers will differ depending on the strain and source of the product that you use, so be sure to calculate your own CBD/THC milligrams per serving before making your infusion.

Apple Spice CBD Mule
Recipe by: Jamie Evans, The Herb Somm
Servings: 2
Equipment Needed:
Digital scale
Measuring cups
Measuring spoons
Small saucepan
Thermometer
One 16-ounce Mason jar
Cheesecloth
Fine-mesh strainer
Shaker tin
Two 20-ounce copper mugs
Ingredients:
Cinnamon Cardamom CBD Simple Syrup
2 cups water
1 cup honey
1 tablespoon whole cardamom pods
4 cinnamon sticks
2.5 grams CBD-rich flower (your choice)
1 tablespoon food-grade vegetable glycerin
Apple Spice CBD Mule
Ice to fill mugs
4 ounces apple cider
2 ounces Cinnamon Cardamom CBD Simple Syrup
Ginger beer, to top and fill mugs
Cinnamon sticks, apple slices, and star of anise for garnish
Directions:
Weigh out 2.5 grams of decarboxylated CBD-rich flower of your choice. Set aside. Combine the water, honey, cardamom, and cinnamon in a small saucepan. Bring to a soft boil, stirring until the honey dissolves into the water. Reduce the heat to around 160°F to 180°F (71°C to 82°C) and add the decarboxylated cannabis. Simmer on low for 50 minutes stirring from time to time. Reduce the heat and add the vegetable glycerin—this will give the CBD (and THC) something to bind to. Continue to heat and stir for another 10 minutes. Remove from the heat. Pour the infused simple syrup into a 16-ounce Mason jar through cheesecloth placed in a fine-mesh strainer. Let cool before serving.
Fill two copper mugs with ice. Using a shaker tin, combine the apple cider and Cinnamon Cardamom CBD Simple Syrup. Shake vigorously for 10 seconds to mix the ingredients together. Next, pour half of the mixture evenly into each copper mug. Top with ginger beer until the mug is full and then garnish with a cinnamon stick, apple slice, and star of anise. Cheers, and happy holidays!
